Jolene Hamann, Certified Nurse Midwife, Performs  BroMenn Hospital Water Births We have exciting news!!! Water birth is a new alter- native to delivery at BroMenn Medical Center. Warm water is soothing for the mother, reduces the need for pain medicine, and generally results in quicker labor. Moms are more comfortable in the tub and it allows them to change positions easily. In addition, the warm water is similar to the environment that the baby has been in for nine months and the baby doesn’t take its first breath until it’s removed from the water.
